Lion’s Club Annual Fishing Derby
- This well known event is held annually at lake DeSmet over the Memorial Day weekend. Contestants for the prizes, which often include a fully equipped fishing boat, tackle, and more, come from hundreds of miles surrounding Buffalo.
To the casual observer it appears that a village of
tents, trailers and boats has risen overnight along the
vast shore line of the lake. |

Annual Triker Parade |
American Triker Convention
Don’t be surprised to see many strange and unusual brightly painted three wheel vehicles all around the city of Buffalo the first week in August. For that is the time the city plays host to the American Triker Convention. |
|
Trikers are three-wheel motorcycles whose owners seem to spare no expense when it comes to making their "Trike" (short for tricycle) comfortable and unique. Then they drive it for thousands of miles to show it off to other "Trikers". |
